Protix Biosystems B.V. develops sustainable high quality proteins that serve as alternatives to fishmeal and other dietary supplements. It does this by converting organic waste streams through a variety of insects. The nutritional value of insects is increasingly seen as a possible solution to the looming food shortages. The use of insects can also help to reduce our waste and prevent overfishing.
Currently Protix is working on scale up technologies and final testing of Protosect, the sustainable alternative to fishmeal.
